I am writing this gutted I’m unable to make our usual oct girls weekend stay , we came in may and after over 20 years it is still a brilliant stay we love it here George Ann Marie and all the staff are brilliant more like family to us they always welcome us with open arms and look after us the whole stay , bedrooms are clean tidy and fresh white sheets and towels , ok you share the toilets and bathroom which I see people are moaning about but for the price you pay it’s perfectly fine some do have showers in the room and every room has its own sink , I really don’t know why this is a problem to people ,the pub is lovely friendly with dj music and a very friendly service I wound not stay any were else in Southend it’s right opposite the beach ten min walk to the town centre a good few local pubs with bands ect , lovely breakfast often served by the owner even before a full Days work , it was my 60 th birthday they went out of their way to let my friends surprise me with decking the pub up and doing me a cake nothing is ever too much hassle for the whole staff we love you all …see you very soon ….
